Politics

Dr. Bob is on a roll again. I love it when he really gets rockin’. I’m predjudiced about the “Coonster,” however, as he is smart and has a way with words I can only dream about.

For instance, in the quote below he says, “motivated stupidity.”I wish I had thought of that when I was ranting yesterday over the “stupidity,” at M.I.T. (post below this one).  What troubles the most, I guess, is that when a school admired for science, as is M.I.T., it becomes obvious that it is only a matter of time until the science professors begin to believe what the philosophy professors spout, because that is the way that it is in reality. (Some things do “inevitably proceed.)”

We can argue forever about this, but it is the ones who teach the young how to think who control what the next generation will think. That is why there are so many morons calling themselves scientists. They are the ones who believe the earth cannot survive the humans she supposedly spawned. If these dunces were able to follow the logic of their brain droppings they would arrive at the only conclusion possible in the “global-warming, we are evolved from nothing,” garbage-scenario they teach: Nature must eliminate what it cannot sustain. That is evolution, isn’t it? If the species human is a problem, evolution will correct itself. What’s the big deal? After all something evolved from nothing certainly can’t be concerned about a future which may be intent on evolving it out of existance, can it?

Anyway Dr. Bob said:

if you can first establish the Big Lie that absolute truth does not exist (or that humans cannot know it), then you have paved the way for people to legitimately believe all kinds of nonsense that results from the “motivated stupidity” of the unconscious. You have, in effect, sanctioned mental illness. Not just sanctioned, but elevated it to the ultimate value. For make no mistake: if you understand what I am saying, then you will understand that multiculturalism, moral relativism, diversity, “tolerance,” and all the other ruling ideas of leftism are not just wrong, but sick. And not just sick, but terminal. They are sickness unto death, in that, once embraced, the mind is strangled by them from the inside out, and cannot grow toward Truth. Rather, the mind can only grow if the person liberates himself from the leftist strait-jacket altogether.

So the sickness, that is leftist thought, produces a Cho, a Columbine, a Ms. Jones at M.I.T., as it slithers along the horizontal plane. (read Dr. Bob for definition) Evolution is only doing what evolution must do. Somehow the left has missed the connection that evolved, relativized thinking must produce and culminate in a Cho, a Columbine, a Ms. Jones, for example. All of these entitys and events were only proceeding on the evolutionary/relative truth path. If truth is relative, as Dr. Bloom pointed out most young people believe, what can possibly be the problem with these recent events? Dr. Bob answers:

… Truth is a living thing, a Being that cannot be reduced to the idolatrous systems of men, especially corrupted men who do not honor Truth to begin with. Most modern and postmodern ideologies and philosophies are opiates for elites too sophisticated for such nonsense as Truth. But like all misused drugs, “Lies gravely affect our mind; they distort the undeveloped organs of the Personality, upon which depends the effort that must lead us to the second Birth…. Even more, lying makes the man who aspires to evolution go backwards” (Mouravieff).

Wouldn’t life be great if everyone admitted “Truth is a living thing, a Being that cannot be reduced to the idolatrous systems of men…?”

That won’t happen anytime soon. Al Gore, Nancy, Harry, Teddy, and Hillary can’t be gods if that is so.  They wouldn’t be able to shape the masses and the President into the image of  the left they have now consecrated as the only true image.

So, I guess I better get used to living in Alice’s Wonderland where the “lie is truth.”

I knew it. This guy Bush, if I am to believe the media, is really pushing the limits of Presiden-

tial authority.

[…]Questions of nation-building, of regime change, of “mission creep,” of congressional versus presidential authority to make war, of negotiation versus confrontation, of “entangling alliances,” and of the “clash of civilizations”—all arose in the first overseas war that the United States ever fought. The “nation-building” that occurred, however, took place not overseas but in the 13 colonies, welded by warfare into something more like a republic[…]

Oh wait! This isn’t about Bush; it is about a guy named Thomas Jefferson and some kind of run in he had with Muslims! Can this be true?

[…]“it (is) written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”[…]

Dr. Sanity has more. I stole the quoted parts from her. (I should set an appointment to deal with my kleptomaniaquotia).

John Edwards wants to be President but not bad enough to actually think about what he says: “…Democrats to give Fox [News] a platform….” I would have sworn Fox already had a platform. Don’t they own a T.V. channel or something?

Edwards complaint is that Fox is not “objective,” in that a debate featuring him would be used to advance some “right-wing” agenda. Being objective means to most of us that we should examine all of the facts, try to determine variances in viewpont, figure out which hold the most validity when compared to reality, then decide which side is believed to be “objectively” true. At least that’s what I think it means.

  • “We just called the CBC [Congressional Black Caucus] to let them know that we’re looking forward to their debate with CNN but we’re not going to participate in the proposed debate with Fox [News Channel]. There’s just no reason for Democrats to give Fox a platform to advance the right-wing agenda while pretending to be objective.”–Edwards campaign statement, April 6

If Mr. Edwards lived by those kinds of criteria I might be more sympathetic to his beliefs and those of his Missus. However, after reading this:

There Goes the Neighborhood
“Elizabeth Edwards says she is scared of the ‘rabid, rabid Republican’ who owns property across the street from her Orange County [N.C.] home–and she doesn’t want her kids going near the gun-toting neighbor,” the Associated Press reports:

Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, particularly recalls the time neighbor Monty Johnson brought out a gun while chasing workers investigating a right of way near his property. The Edwards family has yet to meet Johnson in person.

“I wouldn’t be nice to him, anyway,” Edwards said in an interview. “I don’t want my kids anywhere near some guy who, when he doesn’t like somebody, the first thing he does is pull a gun out. It scares the business out of me.”

Johnson says he appropriately brandished the gun to protect himself from trespassers. Mrs. Edwards has more grievances against her neighbor:

Edwards views Johnson as a “rabid, rabid Republican” who refuses to clean up his “slummy” property just to spite her family, whose lavish 28,000-square-foot estate is nearby on 102 wooded acres.

Johnson, 55, acknowledges his Republican roots. But he takes offense to the suggestion he has purposefully left his property, including an old garage he leases for use as a car shop, in dilapidated condition.

Johnson said he has lived his entire life on the property, which he said his family purchased before the Great Depression. He said he’s spent a lot of money to try and fix up the 42-acre tract.

“I have to budget. I have to live within my means,” Johnson said. “I don’t have millions of dollars to fix the place.”

There are two Americas, and Elizabeth Edwards would just as soon not have to look at the other one. Maybe that’s why she is so eager to live in the White House, the ultimate gated community.

So there you have it. Mrs E, is an elite, snob, bitch, who would not deign to lower herself to try to get to know her neighbor nor ascertain why he acted in the manner he did.

Why does Mrs. Edwards remarks remind me so much of Hillary and Mrs. Kerry? One begins to wonder doesn’t one?

Whatever became of the Democratic Party which at least pretended to like the little guy? Oh, I should take that back. Democrats still pander to the “po black folk,” don’t they? Maybe I have them all wrong.

March is known as the month of “madness” for the NCAA basketball tournament held each year. The real madness is, of course, the killing perpetrated in the name of God.

The Religion of Peace keeps a tally of the daily atrocities committed by Islamic radicals around the world.  Take a minute to visit this informative site. The table listing  the “Religion of Peace” body count for the first 20 days of March, (Over 950 and counting) is astonishing.

I don’t often post about this sort of thing but lately about all I have heard on the news is what a terrible thing we Americans and our military are doing in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza and I suppose New York because we have military there as well.

Perhaps the media and the cowards in Congress are right. Maybe we should just get out of all the dangerous places on the planet and let the butchers do what they are going to do anyway. Afterwards, when the blood thirst of the Islamist-radicals has been satiated, if that’s possible, we can read how Pelosi, Conyers, Murtha, and the rest of the cut-and-run crowd truly thought the killing would stop when we left these insane people to their own devices.

I am confused by all this however, as I understand the Islamic Government of Sudan is doing the same kind of thing in the Darfur that Saddam did in Iraq, but I haven’t heard the Democrats blame the United States for those atrocities. Now, that I think about it further, where are the Democratic voices to condemn us for what is happening in Ethiopia where once again “Islamic insurgents,” are killing for the fun of it.

What set me off on this was the report I read recently of Iraqi “insurgents,” driving a car into a market area of Baghdad with children in the back-seat, parking the car, walking away, then detonating the bomb with the children in the car.

A car bomb in a market-place is horrible, but to use children to insure access to the market is beyond my ability to rationalize, no matter how I try. Only minds that are sociopathic could indulge themselves in these kinds of activities.

Now I read more energy is being wasted trying to “negotiate” with the psychotics who perpetrate these crimes. I have come to the conclusion the leadership in the Western countries is just as insane as the Islamist wacko’s around the world. The only difference is the degree to which the car bombers in Iraq and their sycophants in the Congress believe themselves to be sanely pursuing a righteous agenda.

List of Islamic Terror Attacks For March 2007  (The list is to long for this post but it numbers over 950 killed just in the first 20 days of March. Religion of Peace, indeed!

The Anchoress posted about a teacher who obviously has been led down the primrose path of Marxism/Communism/Stalinism/Leninism/all-the-other-ism’s.

Way back in time when some men were still able to think for themselves a certain University President, who shall remain nameless, unless of course you “click” here, wrote the following:

[…] I have come reluctantly to the conclusion that members of the Communist Party should not be allowed to teach in American colleges. I am now convinced that a member of the Communist Party is not a free man. Freedom, I believe is the most essential ingredient of American civilization and democracy. In the American scheme educational institutions are the foundation stones upon which real freedom rests. Educational institutions can prosper only as they maintain free teaching and research. To maintain free teaching and research the personnel of higher education must accept grave responsibilities and duties as well as the rights and privileges of the academic profession. A teacher must, therefore, be a free seeker after the truth. If, as Jefferson taught, the real purpose of education is to seek out and teach the truth wherever it may lead, then the first obligation and duty of the teacher is to be a free man. Any restraint on the teacher’s freedom is an obstacle to the accomplishment of the most important purposes of education.[..]

Source: “Communists Should Not Teach in American Colleges,” 1949

Lo, these almost 60 years later, we now understand why this educator was concerned. Although we no longer use the pejorative communist or communism (these are quickly becoming interchangable with Democrat) we see the results and the continued brainwashing everywhere. Al Gore’s hypocritcal cult of Global Warming is the best current example in the press. The collectivism taught by the teacher in the Anchoress post convinces that this is the case.

“…the students had been building an elaborate “Legotown,” but it was accidentally demolished. The teachers decided its destruction was an opportunity to explore “the inequities of private ownership.” According to the teachers, “Our intention was to promote a contrasting set of values: collectivity, collaboration, resource-sharing, and full democratic participation.”

Contrasting set of values indeed! Her job is to teach 2+2=4; not brainwash children in some collective ideology exploring “the inequalities of private ownership.” Next we will read about teachers who brainwash children with the “religion of peace” in the name of diveristy . Oh, wait. That can’t be next, it has already happened.

Here we are now, at the beginning of new century, allowing our children to be taught private property rights are evil, the hatred espoused by Wahhabism, the glorious blessings of collectivism, and we wonder why “we can’t all just get along.

Maybe this is why:

Christian belief a ‘hate crime’ under plan Backup proposal would mandate jail time for dissing a ‘gay’

Posted: March 3, 2007
1:00 a.m. Eastern© 2007 WorldNetDaily.comThe newest threat is being prepared by U.S. Rep. John Conyers, the head of the House Judiciary Committee, whose work is being called “The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007,” according to the Rev. Ted Pike, of the National Prayer Network.

What else is there to say?

  • 1949 University of Washington President warns of communist teachers
  • 1949/2007 collectivism taught to elementary school children
  • 3/3/07 Congress threatens to make Christian beliefs hate crimes.

John Conyers has never been more than a black-welfare-pimp, as some radio broadcasters have called him. But for him to introduce legislation which is antithetical to the majority of his Christian constituency can only lead to the conclusion that he is not interested in the least in upholding the Constitution he swore to uphold.

Seems to me Richard Weaver was correct, “Ideas have consequences.”  And the kind of legislation espoused by the likes of a John Conyers only reinforces what the Wikipedia article says of Richard Weaver’s thought: “Weaver emphasizes his position that the cause of apparent patterns in the decline of civilizations is recurrent, unintelligent choice. [Emphasis mine: Ed.]

What could be more “unintelligent” than a so-called American politician inviting the monumental battle, any thinking person knows will ensue, by submitting legislation that will make teaching parts of the Bible hate crimes – with jail time attached. Sounds like the Gulag to me.

Let’s see if I can figure this out. I just paid $2.499 (that’s actually $2.50 ) per gallon for gasoline at my corner Marathon station. I could have driven to the next town and gotten it for $2.399 a gallon but I figured 10 gallons at $.10 cents per gallon savings would be $1.00 – why bother. I would burn more gas than that trying to save. It costs me roughly $.13 per mile in gasoline to drive my car and that doesn’t include oil, maintenance, tires, etc.

Then I read this article from USA today, which  Bill’s Comments made me go read. Of course I got a little aggravated when I read it. I’m aggravated that the moron’s we send to Washington don’t have any more common sense that a bag of dirt.

Since 1981, the U.S. has observed a moratorium on coastal drilling, except for a portion of the Gulf of Mexico and limited areas off of Alaska. The drilling ban was enacted after a series of high-profile oil industry environmental disasters. Perhaps the most notorious: the 1969 Santa Barbara spill that released 3 million gallons of oil in waters off of California, coating 35 miles of coastline with oil up to 6 inches thick.

Last year, the House voted to relax the prohibition on offshore drilling, but the measure died in the Senate. There may be close to 95 billion barrels of oil affected by the ban, according to the Interior Department.

We have an estimated 95 thousand, million barrels of oil (95 billion) within our grasp and we allow environmental Wako’s to tell us we might kill a seagull drilling for it so we don’t drill. What’s up with that?  Seagull’s are just flying rats anyway and besides we clean them off when they get oily.

Instead of hamstringing ourselves so that we can’t drill for oil why don’t we just annex Cuba, Mexico, and the rest of the so-called nations rimming the Gulf and take the oil.

Too many of the people from those hell-holes are sneaking in here as fast as they can anyway, so why shouldn’t we pay ourselves with their oil for the what they cost us in health, welfare, and other services such as an expanding prison system to contain the violent ones.

Illegal aliens are killing more Americans than the Iraq war, says a new report from Family Security Matters that estimates some 2,158 murders are committed every year by illegal aliens in the U.S. The group says that number is more than 15 percent of all the murders reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the U.S. and about three times the representation of illegal aliens in the general population.

In the end however, I know that political correctness will prevail. The politicians in Washington will continue to believe that all humans are decent, God-fearing, souls at heart and we should just love them because they are oppressed victims. This picture is one of them. Admit it, we all want him to marry our daughters, just as soon as pigs learn to fly.

My sister-in-law is a fairly-young widow struggling to get by. She and I email each other from time to time about various and assundry things that catch each others eye.

Recently she sent me a letter from “American Family Council,” (I think that’s the name of the outfit) which was presenting what it wanted us to believe was an alarming new law, HR 254.

Well I responded to Sis that I thought this letter was just a ploy to beg for money. Most of these kinds of things are. “Rev.” Robert Tilton’s prayer “cloths” come to mind, for example, as does Oral Roberts suicide pact with God from years past.

Since the author of Sis’s forwarded letter, Wildmon, spends half of his letter qualifying the fact that HR 254 doesn’t really make any great change to the 1994 hate crimes legislation Clinton signed into law but does expend a lot of ink on what might happen I commented that I thought this was just another ploy to garner money for Caddies and Condo’s.

After all if the bill is just “potentially” damaging why isn’t this moron Wildmon informing his readship about “actual” problems I.E., the ninth circuit court of appeals for instance? When is he going to start a movement to outlaw judicial activism?

Part of the reason I believe Wildmon is just another Caddie’s and Condo’s huckster is this:

[…]If you think our efforts are worthy, would you please support us with a small gift? Thank you for caring enough to get involved.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

P.S. Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends!
Have a question about this or past Action Alerts? Click Here

Well Sis and I got in a discussion about this and finally ended with “hugs and kisses,” so everything, family-wise, is OK.

However, I still believe everyone of these of these hucksters is a blot on Christianity. Mass mailings to our representatives irritate them they don’t help them decide. Ask your Representative what he/she does with this sort of comunique. The answer will be almost universally “round file.”

If Wildmon’s concern is so great why is he asking for money. Jesus taught the opposite. He said “sell all that ye have,” not beg for more. Why doesn’t this guy read his Bible to find out what is says he is supposed to do regarding these matters. I for one would like to hear his “opinion” on that.

That’s my opinion.

Dr. Jim
